CASE STUDY / SALAD STORY
Interesting people, delicious food and regular content.
Through a video subscription for Salad Story, we produced interviews and short films about dishes, seasonal menus and brand initiatives. The marketing team used the content to tell the brand's story and showcase its products on social media.

Salad Story
People, food and brand stories.CLIENT AND CONTEXT

A Polish brand. A seasonal menu.
Salad Story is a Polish restaurant chain serving salads, wraps, grain-based dishes and soups. The brand combines fresh ingredients with a menu that changes with the seasons.
Salad Story needed a partner to help create professional content regularly and deliver it on time. Communication needed to show both the food and the people behind the brand.
THE CHALLENGE
Longer conversations. Short social videos.
The project needed to combine two ways of telling stories. Longer interviews gave contributors space to share their stories and experiences. Short films needed to spark interest in a dish, promotion or event quickly. The team needed both formats on a regular schedule, with topics suited to each month.
What did we bring together in the process?
- The people behind the brand and its menu.
- Full interviews and short portrait-format videos.
- Seasonal products and current initiatives.
- A regular schedule and on-time delivery.
THE SOLUTION / RESPONSIBILITIES

THE PARTNERSHIP MODEL
Video subscription
Conversations with people connected to Salad Story were at the centre of the content. Around them, we created teasers, portrait-format excerpts and videos about favourite dishes. Alongside these, we produced short product and promotional content. Each cycle therefore supported several communication topics.
From topics and priorities to finished content.
Topics
Agreeing the contributor, products and messages needed for each cycle.
Content preparation
Supporting concepts and planning both longer and shorter formats.
Organisation
Agreeing contributors, location, products, schedule and technical requirements.
Filming
Recording interviews and footage for the agreed video package.
Post-production
Editing interviews, short films and teasers, with sound work and colour grading.
Approval
Sharing versions for review and making the agreed revisions.
Publishing
Preparing files the brand's team could incorporate into its publishing calendar.
THE RESULT
One library. Several communication formats.
Salad Story gained a content library combining four interviews with short films about products, the menu and brand initiatives. Marketing could use different formats: a full interview, a teaser, a conversation excerpt or a standalone portrait-format video.
In her testimonial, the client reported improved brand awareness, follower growth above expectations and increasing social media reach.

FAQ | VIDEO CASE STUDY
Video subscription for Salad Story.
What did Salad Story's video subscription involve?+
The partnership covered four monthly production cycles. Rek House combined shoot preparation, filming and post-production. Deliverables included interviews and short films about products, the menu and brand initiatives, giving marketing a shared production process for different formats.
What videos were produced for Salad Story?+
We produced four interviews and short portrait-format content: interview excerpts, teasers, contributors' favourite dishes, product and ingredient presentations, the autumn menu, promotions, the app and content for the ‘Kino na Obcasach’ cinema initiative.
How can interviews work alongside short social media videos?+
Plan the full conversation and shorter content before filming. In the Salad Story project, interviews were accompanied by teasers, selected excerpts and videos about contributors' favourite dishes. The full interview provides room for the story, while shorter formats can introduce it to an audience.
What does video production for a restaurant chain include?+
In this partnership, Rek House provided concept support, production preparation, filming, editing, sound work, colour grading and revisions. The brand supplied product information and communication priorities, and approved the content.
Can different formats be recorded during one shoot?+
Yes, provided the topics, contributors and products are selected in advance and shots are planned for specific formats. The Salad Story model combined a longer conversation with short content. The number and scope of films must still suit the available filming time and production complexity.
How can video showcase a seasonal menu?+
Short videos can show individual dishes, ingredients and a seasonal menu. For Salad Story, we produced content featuring the ‘Jesienny Kurczak’ autumn chicken salad, pumpkin soup and the autumn menu. Each film gave marketing a separate communication topic.
What results did Salad Story report?+
In her testimonial, the client described improved brand awareness, follower growth above expectations and increasing reach. These are the client's observations. We do not claim percentage increases or sales results that the testimonial does not specify.
When does a video subscription make sense for a food brand?+
When a brand regularly communicates products, seasonal menu changes, promotions and people. A recurring production schedule makes it easier to plan different formats through one process. The scope should follow publishing frequency and the marketing team's actual needs.
